About

I am a Ph.D. student at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), advised by Prof. Kimin Lee and Jinwoo Shin. I received a B.S. degree in Statistics at Korea University. My long-term research goal is to develop Scientist-like AI, an AI agent system that, like a human scientist, can propose interesting hypotheses based on existing knowledge, conduct experiments, and archive new knowledge. To this end, I am currently focusing on (1) AI-driven software development and computer use, (2) problem of how AI can extrapolate based on existing knowledge, and (3) safety issues that might arise as AI surpasses human intelligence.
